The Shawl--Liz in Diamonds

Well I forgot to post the shawl that I finished and blocked 2 days before our son's wedding. I really loved how this came out and will defintely use Jaggerspun again for another shawl. Such lovely yarn.

And I named her "Liz in Diamonds", it was lovely with my little black dress.

Wow--Back in Gear

Well, I haven't updated our blog in quite awhile. Was so surprised to see the last time I had posted.

Been traveling for the last 2 months in our RV, then hafter getting home we took off for about a week up to Camp Ronald McDonald doing all kinds of different tasks to get the camp ready for the Winter. This was our 2nd time there this year and we will be back up in the Spring. Hopefully, the winter will not be that harse, but already see there will be some staining that I will be working on. It is such a wonderful endeavor and we feel really good doing this kind of volunteer work. Roberta has been in France for awhile and others of us have just been real busy.

So now that I am back, I'll share with you what I just finished. It is a cowl that I knitted up. Now, I must get back to finishing the Felted Purse for Violeta's GD and the sweater for my daughter in-law.

Fall is coming up, but you sure wouldn't realize it with our warm weather. Looking forward to seeing the girls this coming Thursday, I sure have missed them.

Have a good week and here is a pic of the cowl:

The New Year Is Here

Well, all of us in our knitting group survived the holidays with our families, friends and other loved ones. Our get together's have been a little small but we are slowly increasing in numbers now that the holidays have passed.

Over the holidays, Adrienne and I got to see Mary Ann #1 (remember the story about our group having 3 Mary Ann's). She and her hubby were up for New Year's so as she was close by, "A" and I went over and saw her for a couple of hours. It was great seeing her and we talked about getting a trip together to go down and see her. She'll be back up in March, so hopefully we can all get together then.

About 3-5 of us are knitting up the Origami Pullover sweater. This project will take us many months to finish. We call this knit, our mindless project, as it is K1,P1 throughout the whole project. We knit up 2 pieces and then put together. We have all decided this will be the project we take with us on trips and/or when we are getting bored with what we are already working on. Plus, you can have a couple of sips of wine while you are knitting this one up, just don't do a P when you are suppose to do a K, haha!!!

One of our knitters will be heading out to NY in the next week and will be gone for about 3-4 weeks. Her husband is having surgery, so we are all wishing them a safe trip and successful surgery.

Another knitter (Bev) just had a new granddaughter born in December. Her parents named her Hazel and she is just a little cutie. Bev's oldest daughter is expecting her first child around the late February/early March time frame, so Bev will have 3 Grandchildren in her family.

I'm going to start taking some pictures and posting them on our blog to share with everyone.

Looking forward to what we will all be knitting up this year.
